Shenyang, located in the eastern part of the Songliao Plain and central Liaoning Province, is the capital of Liaoning and a significant city in China with a history spanning over 2,300 years. It is known as the birthplace of one dynasty and the capital of two emperors. Shenyang is a political, economic, cultural, and transportation hub with a population of over 6.71 million people, including 32 ethnic minorities.

Shenyang's area consists of nine districts, one county, and three county-level cities. The city is primarily flat and located on the north bank of the Hunhe River (known as Shenshui in ancient times), which gives Shenyang its name. Shenyang has a rich cultural history that can be traced back to the Warring States Period (approximately 2,300 years ago) and was once the capital of the Qing Dynasty.

Shenyang is also famous for its heavy industry and has been called "Mukden" by previous dynasties' emperors. The city has left many buildings and cultural relics related to the Qing Dynasty, with the Shenyang Imperial Palace being the most notable. Shenyang International Horticultural Exposition, held in Qipanshan International Scenery & Tourism Development Zone, showcases the city's beautiful scenery and convenient transportation.
